Well....it´s time to say goodbye

Hi guys!!! It looks like it´s the last time I´m going to write a blog.

The English Class is almost finished, and it won´t be necessary continue with it. My objective today, it´s talk about this experience. Actually, I enjoyed so much  this project. I have always love writing, but I don´t make me the time to do it. Neither have occasions to do it.

Also, I think that my writing skills were tested and I did can put into practice my capacity to express myself in English. I still make several mistakes of course, but now I know more or less where or in what I use to become confused and I can improve myself. It get me the self confidence to know that I can make sentences and communicate ideas.

There´s a lot of themes that one could talk about. There´s many things that we don´t share. Places to visit. Movies. Fears. Remains a lot of things about you can write. Maybe the worst part was that we haven´t time enough fot every topic.

Well, I think that it´s all. See you guys. Maybe the next time we talk, we can do it with words, and I hope, in English.

PETS

Hello everybody!! A long time I do not write a blog. We´re going to return with the funny theme of pets. Do you had or have one?

In the past, I had very bad luck with pets. I don´t remember very well the ordination, but I think that first I had a couple of hamsters. They were killed by a cat. Then, I had a tortoise. One morning, we found her died. Finally we had a couple of chicks. They vanished one day. My mother told us that the chicks had fled flying because their wings had grown a lot because they ate a lot of plumavit (yes....plumavit). A time ago (relatively short time  ago) I reasoned that CHICKS DON¨T FLY. So, I ask my mom what happened with my chicks, and she answer my without be shamelessly that she sold them to a farmer to he did can cook a chicken pie, one day when I was in a camp. Lovely story.

Anyway, now I have a beautiful dog.  My sisters call him Inti like the inca´s sun god. I wasn´t very agree with the name but......meh, it´s hard to argue with three womans.

It is my dog. It´s very nice, isn´t? He is a little brute, but is a good dog. Generally he don´t come into the house, but in the nights I let him come in to his "special room" where he sleeps. My mom don´t like that he is in the garden long time, because he destroyed her plants. But it is his favourite place, so I let him go there when mom is not in home.

Actually, I don´t think that have a pet is a necessity. It is a caprice that not everybody can afford. So, I´m glad that now I can have this nice dog, but many times I think that he could be in a better place. Actuslly, I don´t see myself having pets in the future.

What about you? what do you think about pets?

Cartoons!!

Hello everybody..... Today we´re gonna talk about a fun theme....... Cartoons!!

I love cartoons!! I saw a lot in my childhood. If you remember any 90s cartoon, I probably know it XD.

Before I saw cartoons just because they were funny. Among my favorites, I remember Hey Arnold!, Dexter´s Lab, Doug and Sponge Bob. This last one keep on air since a long time, but lately it turned boring, due to overexploited.
I enjoyed older cartoons too, like Tom and Jerry or Bugs Bunny. My favorite was The Roadrunner. Still I laugh a lot wiht it XDXDXDXXD.

But now, I like cartoons because most of them make, in a way or another, social criticism. There are evidents examples, like The Simpsons, that represents a total parody of the American family (wheter it is not longer as before). But too, there are some cartoons that I saw as a kid and I thought that were funny or stupids, but I see it now, like a adult, and I realize that it have a lot of mature jokes and reflects the reality. This happen to me with one of my top favorite childhood´s cartoons: Rocko´s Modern Life.

Anyway, today cartoons are not that funny as the older ones. The most of them appear to not have an intention and just make grotesque or so bizarre jokes, at the point to have no sense. It feels like.... forced. But a few years ago, started a new wave of cartoons that are savable. For the kind of humour, they are most directed to my generation, I think. Not totally sure. Well, I feature Regular Show and Clarence,

What about you? Are you argue with me or have a different opinion? Let´s comment.

A person who I admire

Hi everybody!!! Today I must talk you about somebody on my field who I admire. Well, actually it was hard because I´m not a person who cares very much about work that other people did in my career. So, I did must research a bit and I found a guy who attract my attention.

Marcelo Pino:

He was choosen the best sommelier from Chile for the second year and he´s gonna represent the country in the 2015 Pan Americans Competitions (to be held in Santiago) and in 2016 Sommelier World (in Mendoza, Argentina). This boy is not agricultor, but he´s cook by proffesion. After he got the 2011 Best Sommelier from Chile degree, Pino represented at the country in the 2012 Brazil Pan American, being the eighth in America, according to International Sommelier Association. After that, he was ranked 26 among 56 countries in competition in the Japan march 2013 World Sommelier.

Further, Pino works since 2010 how sommelier and ambassador in Viña Casa Silva. In that position, he was invited to participe like a juror in the Shangai Internationa Wine Challenge. Also he writes and produce since 2010 the "Guía para Aguas en Chile" (Chile guide of waters) and he is member of "Mesa de cata" of la CAV magazine, teaching in Chile Sommelier School and adviser of different water brands.

I admire this kind of person because he has an humble origin, and he became what he is with effort and enthusiasm. He never settled and always aspire to more because he likes what he does and he have and take advantage of his talent, wich he improvement in every opportunity he has.

Hi everybody!!

This week, we had to watch a interesting video about Food Forests.

Came a question about this topic....  It is possible to implement these systems in Chile?

Since my perspective, Chile have ALL the necessary agronomic conditions: A varied weather, richs soils (many of them from volcanic origin), the knowledge and even the agronomists´s capacity and experience. Chile is a country with a extremely huge agronomic potential and It could turns someday in a food supplier country.

But Chile has a problem. Nothing of the Chile´s advantages in this topic are gonna work because there is an obstacle that is necessary overcome to go ahead with such proyects............... Chile....has not....culture.

At least for now, we have not the requested ecological approach. Our country is focused in maximize the production and exporting to another countries. Although arguably there is a growing intention on implement more environmentally friendly solutions, are the big companies and the leaders, they who runs the country, who take the final decision, and the prime always is "produce the most possible right now, Who cares about sustainability?" It needs a long time and territory to carry out something like that, but who is gonna fund It?

So, to implement a proyect like food forests, is necessary change the thinking of the population. Our duty is teach the importance of sustainability, so that future generations can cooperate to make more ecological crops and focus in a world where primes satisfy the basics requirements, and not the money

Before  we learn to run, we must learn to walk.

what do you think about all of this?

PHOTOS......PHOTOS EVERYWHERE

Hi everybody!!

Today we going to talk about the photos....you know, these fragments of memories.

I like the photos, but let be honest.... Today the photos are overrated. The problem, for me, is that a photo use to be to capture special moments. Now, thanks to technology, you take a picture about anything....every, single, useless, innecesary, not interest thing. It´s like if we are competing with everybody to see who had the best normal day So, I think that photos have lost their original objective,  and that´s kind of sad.

Anyway, there´s a lot of pictures that means something really special to us. I am not a fan of take pictures, but I´m going to look for some one that be special for me. This is gonna be hard, because the most of my special pictures are framed and not upload in internet.

loading..........................................

I found it!!

This is my family core, including both of my parents, my sisters and theirs boyfriends and my own girlfriend. So, that was one of that few moments in that we were all together. The reason: We were celebrating my older sisters´s pregnancy.  It´s grateful to look at this picture and see my whole family and remember that moment in that were all of us waiting to be a bigger family.

So, that is. Do you have a special picture? Not one about yourself driving to your work or one about your lunch, but one really special about your family, your friends, a special trip... something that means something for you.

BOOKS

Hi everybody!!

Today we gonna talk about one of my favorite hobbies.....books!

I learned to read at an early age. According to my parents, I learned to read by myself, asking my sisters a certain letter had to be pronounced. Myth or reality, the thing is that I have read almost all my life.

When I must choose a favorite thing, about any topic, it´s very hard for me because there are a lot of good books (in this case), but they are about totally differents themes and it´s difficulty compare among them. My favorite genres are detective stories, Sci Fi, Fantasy/Adventure and a bit of Philosophy.

So well... I must mention Arthur Conan Doyle´s "Sherlock Holmes" novels because they are classics, even that the story has some plot mistakes. I also wanna Laura Gallego like my favorite Fantasy writer, because I like the Universe that she proposes in her novels, making it like magic and gods can be explained as real things and almost scientifically. There is a logic inside fantasy, I don´t know if I explain myself. Even so, I must make an honorable mention to Harry Potter saga, because it´s the first long novel that I read and it introduced me the genre. Also, it´s a saga that grew up with me, maturing in content and plot. Unforgettable.

But finally, the highlight to me going to Isaac Asimov, He´s a scientist that wrote books to make science understandable to common people. He wrote many kinds of stories (love, police novel, mistery, drama, comedy..) but always in the framework of a future with robots, spaceships, and a lot of Sci Fi concepts. Also, he wrote many books that includes several stories, so it´s easier to read that way. If you are interested in this Genre, I really recommend him. My favorite book from him, is "The bicentennial man".

So what about you? Do you like reading? If you don´t, why are you reading this? And if you do like, who is is your favorite author and/or wath is your favorite  book?
